Saxony, as the cradle of the German automobile industry, builds upon a long tradition of highest precision and innovation. In addition to these well-known manufacturers in the automotive industry, other highly specialized companies have established themselves in Saxony and supply them with various precision parts.
Due to the fine mechanical past, PENTACON has a long-term experience in the processing of metals and plastics using injection molding. With this know-how, we as an automotive supplier manufacture highest precision and guarantee 100% part quality. We achieve this on the one hand through optimized manufacturing processes and on the other hand through optical and tactile inline parts inspection. We map our process capability using a CAQ-system.
We process various metals (aluminum, brass-alloys, stainless steel etc.) on almost 40 CNCmachining centers under constant process monitoring. Among other things, we have specialized in the reworking of extruded parts and manufacture reworked parts in medium and large series in millions. In the case of the extruded part, which is preferably produced by cold extrusion, the contour is optimized so that only short machine runtimes are required for finishing. In addition to the cycle time, this also saves material costs.
Together with various research institutes, we develop new technology in the area of Swiss turning and plastic injection molding and already successfully using them in customer projects.
Plastic injection molding
We process a wide range of plastics in one-shot and two-shot plastic injection molding. Having an in-house tool shop, we are able to rapidly realize short and efficient production cycles, but also count on external partners and specialists. Especially the injection over-molding of metallic insert components (hybrid parts) or coated filter glasses is a PENTACON specialty. In complex feasibility analysis with MoldFlow, we optimize or processes and minimize possible design flaws and the following plastic injection molding. We also process component assemblies for system suppliers and realize complete module assemblies simply to stay true to our slogan - everything from a single source.
Metal substitution and hybrid parts
Due to rising raw material prices, our customers increasingly change their production from using high-cost metals toward less costly plastics with similar or even better qualities. We counsel you in finding an efficient solution to lower your costs for materials. Ranging from exchanging single components to a re-design of your products (hybrid parts) up to the complete material exchange - we have developed a wide range of technologies and methods to save you costs and material weights. Usually, our customers come from the automotive industry where products tend to become increasingly lighter.
