For more than 60 years, PENTACON is manufacturing,developing and distributing photo technology by the name PENTACON, PRAKTICA and EXAKTA. Our historical roots reach back until the initial start of SLR photography - the legendary first PRAKTICA - built in 1939. Since then, camera products form Dresden are known for outstanding performance and quality. Today, we are offering state of the art digital technology starting with sorage cards up to digital stil cameras and full-HD camcorders.

Our systems for the industrial image processing are solutions that fit exactly the requirements of our clients and are primarily used for quality control. PENTACON offers sophisticated measuring technology to detect surfaces, 2D contours for reverse engineering and 2D scanning.

Based on our extensive know-how in the manufacturing of SLR cameras we are developing industrial used digital scan cameras since 1995. The latest model - the Scan 7000 - has a resolution of 400 megapixels and is used at museums or archives. Its modular design can easily be adapted to meet special requirements.

As a subsidiary of Jos. Schneider Optische Werke/ Bad Kreuznach are we distributing high resolution HD projectors for professional use and home cinema. Using special designed anamorphotic lenses images can be projected crystal clear und in lossless quality at a relatively close distance to the screen.
